Melanie C, the koolest of the Spices. Actually the only kool one. With her attitude and charms she got us listening. Yea sure we usually listen to bizarre bands with bizarre names in obscure genres, but when Melanie sings, we listen.

She is also the only one of the SpiceGirls that has made a success on her own, after the Spice-era. She has proven that she is not just another product of the brittish pop-industry, like the ones from the Stock, Aitken, Waterman-era.

The Spices would probably have had all the headlines even without Melanie. But they would never have had that distinct voice of hers
